Why a translator

More than thirty languages on one coast

Albania has one of the oldest languages in Europe — and streets where you will hear dozens of others.

Most Albanians speak Italian, younger people speak excellent English, and the older generation often remembers Russian. Even so, the moment you step into a migration office, a notary's room or a clinic, everyday conversation is not enough — the wording has to be exact, and in the north you will also meet the Gheg dialect.

That is what our translators are for. We work with professional interpreters covering English, Albanian, Russian, Italian, Polish, Czech, German, French and a dozen more languages, who can accompany you anywhere in the country — at an hourly rate you agree before the meeting.

What we translate

Interpreting and documents

Pick the format you need — the same translator can usually cover several of them.

Consecutive interpreting

A translator beside you in meetings, viewings and appointments, translating both directions sentence by sentence.

Government offices

Migration office, civil registry, tax authority and municipality — where a misunderstood question costs you a second appointment.

Notarial document translation

Sworn translation of passports, certificates, contracts and powers of attorney in the format notaries and authorities accept.

Medical appointments

Doctor visits, test results and hospital admissions — translated by someone who knows the medical vocabulary in both languages.

Business negotiations

Supplier talks, lease negotiations and bank appointments, with the commercial terms rendered precisely rather than approximately.

Written translation

Contracts, correspondence and official letters translated in writing, with certification when the recipient requires it.

We match a translator

We pick someone who works in your language and knows that specific setting — a notary is not a hospital.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum booking?

Yes, two hours — which is what a notary or migration office appointment realistically takes once you include waiting time. Beyond that we bill by the hour, and if the meeting finishes early you only pay the two-hour minimum rather than the original estimate.

Can the translator travel to another city?

Yes. Our translators cover Tirana, Durrës, Vlorë, Sarandë and Shkodër, and will travel further for full-day bookings. Travel time outside the translator's home city is charged at a reduced rate, and we tell you the exact figure before you confirm.

Can you arrange a translator for tomorrow?

Often yes — same-day and next-day bookings are usually possible outside peak season, especially for English, Italian and Russian. For rarer languages or a sworn translation with a deadline, give us two to three days so we are not forced to compromise on quality.

Is your translation valid for a notary?

For documents that need legal force we use sworn translators whose certification Albanian notaries and authorities accept, and the translation comes stamped and signed. Ordinary interpreting for a meeting does not need that — we will tell you which one your situation actually requires instead of selling you the more expensive option.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel more than 24 hours before the appointment and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours we bill one hour, because the translator has already turned down other work for that slot. Rescheduling to another date is always free.
