What makes it even more impressive is the area known as the Karaburun Balcony, which extends over its ridges. Jagged cliffs descend to caves and slopes of rock formations above Dafina Beach or Bitri Beach.

Caves are a typical feature of this peninsula, one of the most famous is Hadji Ali, the largest sea cave in Albania, which used to serve as a shelter and anchorage for ships. It contains a calm lake surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites. The name of this cave is associated with the name of the sailor Hadji Ali.
